Sorcerer Registry
Combatant analysis in the Jujutsu Zero universe.
Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu, the central figure of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is categorized as a Special Grade sorcerer due to his immense cursed energy and the presence of the Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Rika Orimoto. In the game, Yuta is a high-skill-cap character that rewards players who can manage the synergy between his physical combat and Rika's manifestations. His primary mechanic involves a Cursed Energy pool that is significantly larger than any other character, but with a faster decay if skills aren't chained correctly.
Rika's Manifestation
Unlike traditional summons, Rika operates as a dynamic extension of Yuta. When Rika is partially manifested, she provides defensive buffs and automated counter-attacks. In her fully manifested state, she grants Yuta access to the "Copy" technique, allowing him to utilize other sorcerers' abilities for a limited time. This makes Yuta a versatile tool in any team composition, capable of filling damage, support, or tank roles depending on the copied technique.
Pure Love Beam
Yuta's ultimate ability involves sacrificing a portion of his maximum health to unleash a devastating beam of pure cursed energy. This skill has a unique scaling mechanic: the lower Yuta's current health, the higher the damage multiplier. Mastery of this ability requires precise timing, as it leaves Yuta vulnerable but capable of clearing entire waves of Special Grade spirits in a single blast.
Satoru Gojo (Young)
Even in his younger years, Satoru Gojo's prowess is undeniable. As the heir to the Six Eyes and the Limitless technique, Gojo serves as the primary "Control" character in Jujutsu Zero. His gameplay focuses on manipulating space and time to keep enemies at a distance while setting up explosive long-range attacks. Players choosing Gojo must master the "Infinity" defensive layer, which acts as a regenerative shield that absorbs incoming projectiles and physical strikes based on his current Cursed Energy.
The core of Gojo's kit revolves around his Six Eyes, a passive trait that reduces the cost of all techniques to nearly zero, allowing for constant pressure. However, to balance this, Gojo's base health pool is lower than other Special Grade characters, emphasizing the need for perfect defensive play. His "Blue" and "Red" techniques allow for crowd manipulation, pulling enemies into a central point before launching them across the map with repelling force.
The Six Eyes Passive
In combat, the Six Eyes provide Gojo with 360-degree vision, preventing him from being backstabbed or caught in stealth. This passive also highlights enemy weak points, increasing his critical hit chance by 40% when hitting targets affected by "Infinity". Mastery of Gojo is about maintaining this high-pressure environment where enemies are never allowed to touch you.
The Tokyo High Second-Years
While Yuta and Gojo take the spotlight, the second-year students Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda are essential components of the meta. Maki Zenin represents the "Zero Cursed Energy" archetype, relying entirely on her Physical Mastery and Cursed Tool Expertise. In game, Maki has the highest base movement speed and attack speed, allowing her to deliver a flurry of strikes that bypass certain cursed defenses. Her mastery of the "Playful Cloud" cursed tool makes her a lethal threat in close-quarters combat.
Toge Inumaki and Panda offer unique utility. Inumaki's Cursed Speech is a powerful CC (Crowd Control) tool that can freeze enemies in place, though it comes at the cost of "Throat Strain," a debuff that reduces his HP every time he uses a command. Panda, on the other hand, is a versatile tank with three distinct "cores"—Gorilla Mode for physical power, Base Mode for defense, and a secret third core for speed—allowing him to adapt to any combat situation.
